Ordination Into the Ministry is to:

  • Recognize and confirm that an individual has been called by God to the ministry
  • Acknowledge that the individual has undergone a period of discernment
  • Receive training related to this calling
  • Authorizes that individual to take on the responsibility of ministering to the 4 corners of the earth

As a legally ordained minister you can:

  • Perform wedding ceremonies. Some states or counties may require local registration before conducting a wedding
  • Share your personal religious beliefs with others
  • Qualify for tax free status as religious order
  • Lead, (even create your own) religious ceremonies and rites
  • Legally ordained member of the clergy
  • Open a church to spread the fellowship of believers
  • Visit prisons to bring hope and faith to those within
  • Conduct funeral ceremonies
Preparation & Purpose

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

You must take your light - the healing power of God beyond the 4 walls of the church and into the 4 corners of the earth. Joan Hunter Ministries can equip you to do just that!

How do we do that? By:

  • helping you open your eyes to see the needs around you
  • teaching you how to be effective in prayers and action
  • giving you a proven process to be effective and have an impact

We will give you the words to say, the words to pray and the confidence to step out and share Jesus everywhere you go!

  • Acknowledge and accept the call of God on your life to take the healing power of God to the 4 corners of the earth, make disciples and set the captives free.
  • Submit completed application form, $397application & processing fee and two current photos (head and shoulders only); ($100 of fee is non-refundable).
  • Provide (from a non family member) one ministry and one personal recommendation.
  • Recommendations must be sent directly to JHM PO Box (address above) or emailed to These must be submitted to JHM by the one supplying the recommendation, and are not to be sent to us with your application. Note: Ministerial References will be verified.
  • Attendance at all ten classes are required.
  • Watch and Read required materials prior to attending Ordination.
  • Complete and Return Pre-Ordination Review
  • Approval of application by Joan Hunter Ministries.
  • Pass a background check.
